McConchie is the vice president of government affairs for Americans United for Life. He has an M.A. in Bioethics from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois, and a B.A. in Biblical Studies with a minor in Philosophy from Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. As a bioethics expert, McConchie is frequently quoted in the national news media, including MSNBC, FOX News, PBS, NPR, BBC, the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, Los Angeles Times, Newsweek, San Francisco Chronicle, and Christianity Today.
